Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of frequently asked questions regarding our church and ministries.

Is there a dress code?

NO! You may come as you are. People do not often dress differently than they would if they were going to the store or attending their kids’ basketball game.

What style of preaching can I expect?

Pastor Mike’s goal is to make the Bible understandable to those who listen. Whether he is preaching through a book of the Bible or doing a topical study, the goal is to focus on the Word of God, teach the meaning of the text and then use stories and illustrations to demonstrate how the Bible applies to our every day lives. Check out our sermons page to listen to recent sermons.

What style of music can I expect?

We have a blended worship style that leans toward a contemporary music style. We have a wonderful quartet that harmonizes hymns and favorites from the past. Other worship teams play a blend of mostly contemporary worship music that will vary from week to week depending on the team.

How do I get to know people?

The primary means of getting to know people is through involvement in cell groups and ministry teams. Large church events allow us to see one another; however, large events are not a good place to have meaningful conversations. Cell groups are a perfect place to get to know others and plug into meaningful relationships and activities. Check out the cell group section of our website for more information on what cell groups are waiting for you to join!

Will I really be welcome?

We seek to be a place that gives away the love of Jesus for free just as He freely loved us. As Pastor of Faith Free, Pastor Mike wants to let you know specifically that you are welcome here and he looks forward to meeting you. Please introduce yourself if you are led to attend.

What activities do you have for my bigger kids?

We are excited for the opportunity to get to know your kids and have designed programs that are enjoyable for your teen while also incorporating solid Bible lessons and timeless truths. We have many offerings during the school year and for teens, including a Sunday night youth group session and Monday night youth cell group, all hosted by our Youth Pastor, Brian Cole. There are also large events and concerts that your teenage son or daughter will love. Contact Brian through the website contact section for details or check out the “EPIC Ministries” section on the web site.

What activities do you have for my little kids?

During the school year we have KIDZ ROCK for ages 3-12 during the latter half of the service.  KIDZ ROCK involves a snack, lesson, and craft time. We also have a Wednesday night program called AWANA. AWANA has many kids from inside the church and also many whose family has not yet found a home church or whose family attends elsewhere but who does not have these offerings. During the summer we have special events such as Vacation Bible School, which includes Bible lessons and fun activities for kids.
